Paul Gray is the author of the inspirational books “Convertible Conversations and “The Fish Net Experience. He is co-author of “Godly Men Make Godly Fathers.

Paul’s message “Grace Is UNconditional Love In Action!” focuses on helping people experience and enjoy God’s love WITHOUT CONDITIONS for all people. He has found that knowing God personally leads to enjoying and experiencing life at a much higher level!

He and his wife of 48 years, Kitsy, live in Lawrence Kansas where they continue to facilitate growing in grace at the church they founded in 1991, New Life in Christ. They have three wonderful grown children and 6 amazing grandchildren! Paul’s career began with his studies at Kansas University in 1965, where he formed his band, the Gaslite Gang, which made several national television performances and recorded five albums. They performed full-time from coast to coast for many years doing educational concerts and clinics as well as performing at a variety of venues.

Paul owned a variety of businesses ranging from five retail music stores to a long-distance telephone company, as well as Paul Gray’s Jazz Place, a popular Lawrence, Kansas, jazz venue where he performed with his group. Concurrently, he served in the United States Army National Guard and Army Reserves for 24 years as a bandmaster.

Paul was inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame in 2012 as a member of the Junkyard Jazz Band.

In 1999 his church started a medical clinic for homeless individuals, The Heartland Medical Clinic, where he was CEO for 7 years. It continues to serve the medical needs of thousands of patients each year.

Paul Gray holds an education degree from the University of Kansas and a degree in Grace Theology from Global Grace Seminary.

A Glimpse at Paul's new upcoming book Convertible Conversations:

Convertible Conversations is the inspiration story of how cat-five Hurricane Harvey tragically takes the lives of ten-year old Jack Miller’s parents when they were trying to save the lives of others in a flooded neighborhood in Houston Texas. A grief-stricken trio…Jack and his grandparents…try to make sense of the catastrophic event and navigate life through a series of challenging situations and circumstances.

In the novel, empty-nesters, Fred and Susie Miller take on the unexpected responsibility of raising their only grandson while distraught themselves at the loss of their only son and his wife. As they console and help Jack…whose world will never be the same again, he experiences tremendous anger, nightmares, confusion, doubts, and fears…most of which are directed at God.

The two grandparents find themselves raising their grandson as he experiences peer and teacher influence in a divided country rife with political and social unrest where violent protest too often replaces civil discourse. All this takes place as they are coping with the death of their son.

Life takes them through additional tragedies, opportunities to help others, romance, and inevitable end-of-life concerns.

Grandfather Fred Miller, a retired Army Bandmaster, uses a variety of musical illustrations in teaching life-lessons. Jack, in addition to being a sketch artist, is also a musical prodigy – playing drums, writing music, forming and leading a band, and developing a multi-media jazz musical concert that is employed in starting small groups of spiritual-minded students at colleges and universities in Texas and beyond. The story has an over-arching theme of reconciliation and forgiveness which culminates in an unexpected climatic event that tests the Miller’s relationship with God.

Rabbi Michael Schwartz, Executive Director

Hatzolah Ashdod is his vision, born out of a crying need for speedy emergency care in his town of Ashdod. It was so successful and the situation so acute, it expanded to include all of Southern Israel. Rabbi Schwartz was born in Switzerland in 1958 , moved to England in 1964 and came to Israel in 1976. He studied at the Gur Talmudical Academy plus an additional 5 years. He also studied social work, and for 20 years worked with kids on the street with problems. In addition, he has served as director of several schools. These days he spends most of his time shuttling between Israel and the United States, promoting support for Hatzolah Darom. He and his wife Henya have 8 children and 2 grandchildren.

The Volunteers: The Unsung Heroes

These dedicated men, now over 400 in number, spring from all walks of life. They are religious and secular, native and immigrant, old-timers and new arrivals – all united in one purpose, preventing the needless loss of life and easing pain when disaster strikes. They are prepared to drop everything at a moment’s notice and do everything possible until the ambulance arrives. And credit must also be given to the families of these volunteers as well, who also share the burden of possible danger and interruptions to their own personal lives.

OUR MISSION

Hatzolah Darom endeavors to save lives and ease pain, by training and equipping volunteers to respond to the emergency needs of the residents of Southern Israel.

The continuing emergency in Southern Israel shows no signs of let-up, putting life and limb in danger. Kassam rockets, as well as accidents on the high-speed highways, heart attacks, serious injuries in the home, school or workplace, call for well-equipped and dedicated first responders.

That’s where Hatzolah Darom plays a key role – galvanizing a team of trained volunteers who are ready 24/7 to speed to the scene and render first aid.

Add to this the fact that there are only 3 hospitals to serve this far-flung region, which means ambulance wait times that can make the difference between life and death. That’s where Hatzolah Darom comes in – with its dedicated, certified first responders, working in tandem with Magen David Adom and local municipalities to be there in the first golden minutes and save lives.

Elon Musk on Saturday shared the very first image of the Boring Company’s underground Los Angeles tunnel that is actively under construction. We’ve known for months now that Musk’s cleverly named tunnel-digging venture has been testing equipment and technology beneath SpaceX’s Hawthorne, California headquarters and elsewhere in the LA suburb, after the city granted the company a test permit back in August. But this is the first image Musk has shared of what looks like a fully built out underground system similar to what the entrepreneur first unveiled earlier this year in a concept video.

The Boring Company was founded as an experimental effort in alternative urban transportation, with Musk envisioning a series of underground roadways that ferry vehicles to and from destinations using electric tracks. It’s effectively a high-speed subway exclusively for cars. Musk has picked LA as the testing ground both because he works in nearby Hawthorne and because the city’s notorious traffic jams gives the Boring Company a clear-sighted target.

The goal is to reduce congestion and speed up travel times, similar in concept and execution to Musk’s supersonic hyperloop concept. Except while the hyperloop remains only an idea of Musk’s that other third-party companies are trying to bring to life, Musk himself has built out the Boring Company from the get go to really test the viability of the idea and lay the initial groundwork for an underground LA system.

In a post to his personal Instagram containing the same photo, Musk describes this section of the LA tunnel as running parallel to Interstate 405 all the way to Interstate 101, with exit ramps “every mile or so.” Musk writes that “it will work like a fast freeway, where electric skates carrying vehicles and people pods on the main artery travel up to 150 mph, and the skates switch to side tunnels to exit and enter.”
