About Musicians Mission of Mercy

Mission5.jpg

Musicians Mission of Mercy unites compassionate musicians from all genres to play a direct role in providing food and other life essentials to people in need.

Mission1.jpg

Music has a universal power to bring people together emotionally and spiritually. We tap into the gifts of musicians to bring awareness to our mission and raise funds to buy and distribute provisions.

Mission3.jpg

Participating artists also can have hands-on involvement in distributing food, toiletries and other essentials to the hungry in the community. Life’s essentials also include love, respect and dignity. Musicians are empowered to demonstrate these qualities as they interact face-to-face with their fans and people in need.

Mission4.jpg

Musicians and non-musicians alike can support our cause by making a donation of any size to help buy provisions for distribution or by becoming a volunteer.

Mission2.jpg

Musicians feed the hungry. Music feeds the soul. Join us in our mission!

Who Benefits?

mission7.jpg

Despite a variety of support programs in the U.S., a multitude of people go to bed hungry every night. According to statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau:

•More than 45 million Americans live below the poverty line
•More than 49 million Americans are at risk of hunger
•Over 48 percent of households in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps) are working households.
•Two-thirds of SNAP recipients are children, elderly or disabled

Musicians Mission of Mercy targets distributions in communities with a high percentage of these populations, including children attending Title 1 schools and their families, the elderly on fixed incomes, disabled veterans and people who are mentally or physically challenged.

YOU also benefit when you get involved – knowing that you’ve helped to provide life essentials to communities where the need is tremendous.

HOW WE WORK

musicians7.jpg

Musicians Mission of Mercy makes it easy for musicians to participate, even when they have a busy travel and performance schedule. Non-musicians can participate, too!

How the Program Works

Local social services agencies, Title 1 schools and churches will be contacted to help spread the word among people in need about an upcoming distribution of life essentials. Special consideration is given to underserved children and their families, the elderly and mentally/physically handicapped people including disabled veterans and their families.

Two Ways Musicians Can Be Involved:

•On the day of their concert (or the day before if it better serves the musicians’ schedule), participating musicians help distribute life essentials face-to-face to people in need while showing love and respect for them.
•Established musicians with a heart to feed the poor take up donations during their scheduled tour dates to help buy provisions for distribution.

The driving force behind any charitable effort is the generosity of people like you. Without donations, Musicians Mission of Mercy could not serve those who are desperately in need of life's essentials.

Please help us continue to show compassion to those in need throughout our communities. Musicians Mission of Mercy is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Your donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
